How Ascenda works
One pipeline, four roles. Here's what happens at each stage, and who does what.
Company
1. A company opens a CSR funding program
- A company sets a title, total budget, and application deadline for a CSR funding program.
- Once open, any admin-verified university can see and apply to it.
- The company reviews applications and approves or rejects each one — a decision that's recorded and visible to the applying university immediately.
University
2. A university applies for funds, then opens scholarships
- Universities apply to open CSR funding programs with a requested amount and justification.
- Once a university has approved CSR funding, it can open scholarships — a title, an amount per student, and a deadline.
- Every open scholarship is visible to students platform-wide.
Student
3. A student applies for a scholarship
- Students browse every open scholarship from every university and apply with a single click.
- Each application shows a live status: pending, approved, or rejected.
- Students can track every scholarship they've applied to from one page.
Agent
Alongside: an agent onboards students
- Agents are independent — not tied to a specific company or university.
- An agent adds a student to the platform, creating their login.
- The agent can then see that student's scholarship application status without needing to ask.
On timing: Ascenda doesn't enforce a fixed decision window — how quickly an application is approved or rejected depends on the company or university reviewing it. What Ascenda guarantees is that the status updates the moment a decision is made, so nobody has to chase an email for an answer.
