1. What we collect

When you create an account, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, role (Company, University, Student, or Agent), and role-specific profile details (for example, an organization name for Company/University accounts, or academic details for Student accounts). Passwords are stored as one-way salted hashes and are never visible to Ascenda staff.

When you submit a funding application, scholarship application, or contact form, we store the content of that submission and associate it with your account.

2. What we don't collect

Ascenda does not process payments and does not collect or store bank account numbers, card numbers, or other financial credentials. Fund amounts you record on the platform (grants, scholarships) are tracking data you enter — they don't move real money.

3. How we use your data

We use account and application data to operate the core features of the platform: matching companies with universities, universities with students, showing you your own applications and their status, and allowing admins to verify organizations and moderate accounts. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

4. Who can see your information

Application details are visible only to the party reviewing that application, the applicant, and Ascenda admins. Public marketing pages do not display any account or application data.

5. Data retention and deletion

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account or data removed, contact us and we'll process the request in accordance with applicable law.
